After the installation has completed run the PICAXE Programming Editor. The icon will be under the Revolution Education program folder. The options window will be displayed on start-up.
Select the PICAXE chip that you want to use in programmer. For the school experimenter board it will be the PICAXE-08M microcontroller chip.
Click the Serial Port tag to select the serial port on the computer on which the programmer will operate on. Normally it will be the COM 1 port. Click the ‘OK’ button set the options. If you are using the USB download cable then you have to install the USB driver for it.
